Gardeneon

Gardeneon is a Smart Home irrigation controller, created to water our terrace garden. Back in 2020 when it was created, I was using KDE Neon Linux Distro, hence it's name. It is probably my most useful creation till date.

Gardeneon controls solenoid valves (which are like electronic taps). These solenoid valves stand between water supply and drip irrigation system. So, effectively, gardeneon can water plants by turning on the solenoid valves !

Following are it's features:

• It is connected to wifi and mqtt broker in our lan. So, can be controlled from anywhere inside home.
• Supports 4 channels, which means it can control upto 4 solenoid valves.
• Fully integrated with SHARP
• SHARP integration makes automations seemless. Just set the time and never worry about watering plants again.
• It has an oled display to show status of valves and other useful details.
• It also has a buzzer to provide audio feedback when the valves are turned on or off. The buzzer can later be used as an alarm as well.
• Supports Over the air updates for the firmware.

So, Gardeneon keeps our terrace garden alive !!
