A Raspberry pi powered rover with audio and vision capabilitities. Created to demonstrate the capabilities of rocker bogie design. Inspired by NASA's Curiosity rover.
The following were it's features:
- Connected to wifi, so can be controlled in local network or in web from anywhere in the world over ssh.
- Propelled by 6 Johnson metal geared motors, it could carry a weight of about 3kg.
- It was powered by a 7AH 12V Lead Acid Sealed battery, which provided about 1 hour of drive time. The electronics (Raspberry-Pi, camera, etc) were powered by another powerbank, which could keep it running for about 6 hours.
- It had 2 cameras (Webcam + RPi NoIR camera) with different views. The NoIR camera provided night vision capabilities.
- It had a speaker, which could make the rover speak !! Experimented with google asssitant api to make it talk.
